Fall 2010 / Winter 2011 Volunteer Plan
-
Each family must earn a minimum of 20 Service Points for the Fall 2010 / Winter 2011 Session. Service Points can be earned through a wide variety of opportunities throughout the season, but at least 15 Service Points should be earned by volunteering at one or both of the two Home Swim Meets. Partial-season swim families must accumluate 15 service points, with 10 being from home meets. The minimum obligation amount may change based on the final enrollment for the session. If changed, we will communicate the change by the end of September.
-
Each family’s 20 point obligation is for the Fall 2010 / Winter 2011season only. It is not an annual obligation as the Team Unify Volunteer tool indicates. If you plan to be enrolled in the following Spring/Summer session, you are responsible for an additional volunteer obligation.
-
1 Service Point does not necessarily equal 1 hour of volunteer time, but please note that the Team Unify Volunteer tool will refer to Service Points as “Hours”.
-
All volunteer spots are filled on a first come, first served basis. You can check the Team Unify Volunteer Tool at any time to view current opportunities. NOTE: The Team Unify Volunteer Tool will be activated once registration for this season has concluded.
-
If your family is unable to complete the volunteer requirements, your swimmer’s account will be charged $10 for each unfulfilled Service Point, up to $200.

The anticipated start and end time of your shift will not be known until the meet timeline is finalized (typically a few days prior to the meet).
Volunteer Incentives
The requirements listed above reflect the minimum level of participation that we ask of each swim family. We are lucky to have many families that repeatedly go above and beyond. To encourage everyone to go that extra mile, we offer a Volunteer Incentive Program. Families who complete their ENTIRE volunteer obligation (detailed above), will earn an entry into a drawing at the end of the season for one of two $250 credits to your swimmers’ account. Additional drawing entries can be earned for every 5 Service Points once the minimum obligation has been met. A family who meets the minimum volunteer points will have a single entry into the drawing. Additional entries can only be achieved through volunteering above the required minimum. There is NO LIMIT to the amount of entries your family can earn, the more you volunteer, the better your chance of winning! The credit can only be used for registration next season, or for meet fees. The credit must be used within 1 year and cannot be used for MSI fees, equipment purchases or redeemed for cash.
The volunteer non-voting board members automatically receive 20 General Volunteer Service Points in addition to any additional meet or general service points that they earn. Elected Board Members themselves are not eligible for volunteer incentives, but their family members who volunteer are eligible.
We are lucky to have many dedicated swim parents who are very invested in their swim club.
Thank you,
Sea Devils Swimming Parent Board
