About

Welcome to Sea Devils Swimming!

Sea Devils Swimming, formerly known at Swim STMA, was formed in 2002 from a Community Ed program, and has grown from 45 swimmers to over 200 swimmers. We are a non-profit, parent-run organization that depends on our coaches, swimmers, and parent volunteers to make our club a success.

Sea Devils Swimming is one of approximately 60 clubs belonging to the Minnesota Chapter of USA Swimming. USA Swimming is the national governing body for swimming in the United States . This organization sets the rules and administers competition on regional and national levels. The Minnesota Chapter is referred to as Minnesota Swimming, Inc. or MSI. It is interesting to note that the USA Swimming age group swimming program is America ’s largest program of guided fitness activity for children.

We pride ourselves on the sense of community we are creating. We strive to provide an environment where kids can learn to succeed as swimmers and as people. Our club combines fun and hard work in a team-building atmosphere.

We do not focus on what place a swimmer may take; we focus on their individual times and reward improvement no matter how big or small. Our swimmers learn about commitment, good sportsmanship, and dedication; as these are tools not only necessary for swimming, but also for life.

Our club is a USA year round competitive swim team offering high quality professional coaching and technique instruction for all ages and abilities. The goal of our team is to provide every member an opportunity to improve swimming skills and achieve success at his or her level of ability, from novice to international competitor.

All of our coaches have access to the most comprehensive training and certification program for youth coaches of any sport in the United States. They provide assurances that the time children spend in swimming will be quality time.

The STMA Sea Devils, a non profit club, is run by its elected Board of Directors which meets monthly. All members are welcome at each meeting and encouraged to be involved in team activities and fundraisers.

We are constantly growing and training young swimmers to maintain a well rounded competitive swim team. Thank you for joining us. We are looking forward to meeting you. Please feel free to ask another member or coach any question you may have.
